What is 2c-e?
2c-e is short for 2,5-dimethoxy-4-ethylphenethylamine, which is a psychedelic phenethylamine with the CAS number 71539-34-9. 2c-e, along with other members of the “2c family,” was synthesized by Alexander Shulgin. 2c-e is a relatively new research chemical that is often sourced online. It is a psychedelic drug, producing mental and visual effects similar, yet distinctly different than, LSD.
2c-e Effects
Typically 2ce has effects that last six to ten hours, with peak effects typically lasting six to eight hours. The duration can depend on a variety of factors, including stomach contents, personal body chemistry, and the dosage ingested.
Like most psychedelic drugs, 2c-e has a peak and plateau, as well as a gradual comedown of the noticeable effects.
Effect-wise, 2ce affects users similarly to most psychedelics, in that it can produce well-being in the user, as well as spiritual and/or life-changing experiences. These are not always positive, and in some users, especially at higher doses, can produce paranoia, anxiety, and fear. For this reason, they should be treated with caution. If someone is experiencing these symptoms, it’s usually best to wait it out.

At heavy or heroic dosages, you can experience ego loss, intense fractal-like images and sound distortions, extreme anxiety or paranoia, and sometimes synesthesia. At strong doses you can expect extreme intense effects.
