Stoney Girl was told that this strain was, in fact, a new Government G-13 strain that they had been developing for years. P-91 started out in a Southern California university program that was under wraps and to the outsider didn’t exist.
Pit Bull’s mother was P-91, which is a cross between Bull Rider and a G-13 mother plant to create the elusive P-91 from the Southern California university. Sugar Plum is the result of a Stoney Girl Berkele Blues cross that become Pit Bull’s father. Sugar Plum has won several awards such as first place in the 2003 Oregon Medical Cannabis Awards.
Pit Bull, much like its namesake is a tough, rugged and ravaging strain. The plants are strong and vigorous and holds up well against pests. Pit Bull will grow anyway you want her to due to her vigor. She can perform well in a closet or an outdoor farm. She is quite branchy, but forms close nodes and without training she will grow into giant bushy ball that has buds on just about every branch. She will finish very quick. Average finishing time is around 6 weeks or when grown outdoors, mid-September if she is planted in June. Pit Bull grows like a bush indoors and a giant tree outdoors.
When coaxed into flowering, Pit Bull immediately starts forming open blooms covered with a thick coating of trichomes and frosty goodness in just the first 2 weeks. She forms large buds that are like giant Christmas ornaments covered in glitter. They are not rock hard, but are not airy and soft like popcorn buds. The leaves have so much resin on them that they typically curl up from the stress. Pit Bull will colors will be bright and vibrant green unless the garden temperatures drop, which she will then turn dark purple.
